1947
With a used Studebaker pickup
and $1500 worth of tires purchased on
credit, T.O. Haas opens his first store in Lincoln, Nebraska.
With a
business philosophy to provide quality products with dependable
service and affordable prices, T.O. would canvass the city during
the
day, calling on commercial accounts. He would then make the
necessary repairs to tires in the evening while his wife Terry
kept the books.
By sub-letting part
of the building to two other business owners and
sharing the utilities, T.O. Haas Tire was operating in the black
by the
end of the first month of business.

1951
T.O. Haas purchased land
on West O Street in Lincoln and erected this quonset building
to house the business. During the ensuing years, the building
saw
many additions and renovations. The original building can still
be seen
on the far right of the lower photo taken in 1956.

1984
T.O. Haas Tire purchases
Oldfather's OK Tire
headquartered just 50 miles south of Lincoln in
Beatrice, Nebraska. This purchase increased the
number of retail outlets to nine stores in three cities.

Present

Using the same sound
business philosophy T.O. began in 1947 to provide quality products,
dependable service and affordable prices T.O. Haas Tire has grown

to become one of the premier tire and automotive service facilities
in the midwest.
